The meditative properties of knitting aren’t anything new but have been a part of knitting since its invention. With the huge surge in popularity of knitting in recent years, a whole new group of knitters are experiencing the healing benefits of this fiber art. Learning to knit can be frustrating, but once you get the basic stitches down you will be able to knit anything. Then the relaxing calm of knitting comes over you.

Simple repetitive stitches allow the mind to grow silent and move into a meditative state. It is a great way to reduce stress. Knitting with intent brings healing energy to your finished work. You may have heard of Prayer Shawls. A prayer shawls or other items knitted with love and positive intent is more that something to wear. The fiber holds the healing thoughts of the knitter, so you can wrap yourself up in them. Knitting with intent and purpose benefits both the knitter and the person receiving the finished product.

In my knitting workshops you will work on one piece to be knitted from start to finish with intent. You will choose what you want to focus on while you knit and write a positive affirmation. I will hold separate classes for beginning knitters and more advanced knitters. Each class will have its own online group set up for knitting help and emotional support.

Patterns will be provided. You will need to have your own knitting supplies. To join a class visit the Work With Me page or Email Me.
